About: This reserve offers hiking trails and is accessed through the Lagarta Lodge, which charges an entrance fee. Due to its proximity to the ocean and a river, the trails can get very muddy during rainy season. They are not well-maintained and not well-marked. There is a long flight of stairs going down, and since it is an out-and-back trail, you will have to come up the stairs at the end of your hike. On the bright side, it is an area rich in biodiversity, so you will have a good chance of spotting wildlife.
