About: This is a long stretch of black sand beach with a lot of debris that is not very popular for swimming due to rip currents but is popular for surfing. It is however a nesting beach for various turtle species, depending on the time of year. There is a project set up that helps protect the turtle eggs, and is run with the help of volunteers. There is a very small visitors center with information about the turtles.
