About: This is a beautiful beach growing in popularity due to the quaint, but also growing, development known as Las Catalinas. It is popular among foreigners, and even has a foreign feel with cobblestone streets and European architecture. There is nowhere like it in Costa Rica, and makes for a great place for taking pictures and enjoying a stroll. There are a few restaurants and shops. The parking lot has a been expanded and organized to account for the recent influx in visitors. The beach itself is large, beautiful, and great for all ages. The waves can get big, but during low tide it is perfect for little ones to sit and play in the sand. The beach is in a large cove. It is one of the best places to watch the sunset.
