Cachi Dam

Posted on December 15, 2024August 5, 2024 by Ultimate Guide

About: This is a popular stop when passing by. It falls right on Route 224, which is a great day-trip loop road through the Orosi Valley in Cartago. It is a hydroelectric dam which is interesting to see and take pictures at, as well as walk across. There are also street vendors where you can buy a little snack. There isn’t anywhere to sit, and not much to do, but it is an easy stop if passing by and worth a few minutes. Parking is on the side of the road, and there is plenty, though it can get crowded on weekends and holidays.
