About: This is one of the most popular and loved beaches by locals and foreigners alike. It has a few access points. The northern side connects to Brasilito Beach. The southern side requires you to make a big loop on an unpaved road, but this makes it a lot less crowded. The third access point is through the Westin Hotel, only accessible by guests.

Tips: What makes this beach extra special is, as its name implies, the shells that make it up (really only on the north side). While they are beautiful to look at, it really isn’t comfortable to walk on. The tide gets high on the sand and nearly reaches the trees. It is possible but more difficult to walk across during high tide. There is a trail through the forest behind the beach for an easier walk than on the sand.
