Hydroelectric Plant Toro 2

About: This is a hydroelectric plant located right on a large waterfall near the outskirts of the Poas Volcano. Access to the plant is restricted, but you can observe the waterfall and surrounding nature from the accessible platforms. There may be some trails you can hike but do so at your own discretion as they are not properly controlled by authorities and there may not be any other hikers around.

Time needed for activity: as much as you want

Kid friendly: Yes

Wheelchair accessible: Yes

What to wear and bring: Comfortable clothes, walking or hiking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, umbrella, poncho or rain jacket, camera, binoculars, backpack, water, snacks

Tips: It is quite a trek down the road to reach this location, but on the same road is the Visita Nomada ATV tour, so it would be a good activity to pair before or after.
