Los Chorros

Posted on August 6, 2024July 12, 2024 by Ultimate Guide

About: This is a great little hike to a waterfall and natural swimming pool that is close to the city. It is a great last minute option if you want something to do that is close by, in nature, and not too difficult.

Province: Alajuela

Starting from: Downtown Alajuela

Time to reach from starting location: 31 minutes

Time needed for activity: 1-2 hours

Kid friendly: Yes

Wheelchair accessible: No

What to wear and bring: Comfortable clothes, walking or hiking shoes, sandals or water shoes, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, poncho or rain jacket, camera, binoculars, backpack, water, snacks, pack lunch

Tips: Even if you hang out at the waterfall and go swimming and have a picnic, you probably won’t spend more than half a day here, so definitely take advantage of all the nearby activities to do something else.
