About: This is a great little hike to a beautiful set of natural pools that flow into each other over small waterfalls. There is also a river you can enjoy. Another highlight of this location is the abandoned mine entrance, which you can walk into (at your own risk). It gets dark fast, so if you want to go in far, definitely bring a flashlight or headlight. The mine is wet with water coming out of it, and it can be slippery, so good shoes or boots are recommended. There are bats in the mine. This is a great place to spend at least half a day and enjoy a picnic by the pools, so bring your own food. No food is sold here.

Tips: There are a couple of dangers to watch out for with this activity. First, do not leave valuables in the car, especially not visible. While there is usually a “watchie” that watches the cars for a small fee, do not take any chances, since the parking is not visible from the pools. Second, the pools are relatively safe, however it is best to keep your head above water and not go underwater or under the waterfalls. Pay special attention to the water flow, especially during rainy season when the water level and flow are higher and stronger. Make sure that you are a strong swimmer, as there are no lifeguards.
