Murcielago Wildlife Refuge

About: This wildlife refuge is very remote and not at all crowded, providing pristine beaches, wildlife sightings, and excellent snorkeling. There is a trail to Bahia El Hachal that is 6 km each way and can only be done on foot or bike. This bay provides calm waters for snorkeling. Many of the other beaches can only be reached by boat.

What to wear and bring: Comfortable clothes, walking or hiking shoes, sandals or water shoes, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, poncho or rain jacket, camera, backpack, water, snacks, pack lunch, snorkeling gear

Tips: There are no services, so bring everything you need including food and water.
