About: This is one of the original factories that made “carretas” or the traditional ox carts that you see throughout Costa Rica. It is mostly a souvenir shop, but it also still has a small factory in the back that you can get a short tour of. They will show you the water wheel that powers the wood-making machines. Plan to spend a good amount of time browsing the shop as they have a wide variety of handmade souvenirs and local artisan products.
