About: This large park crosses a major highway and is therefore not the quietest nor the most relaxing park. However, it is a popular spot with locals for exercising and relaxing outdoors with family. It is an alternative to La Sabana Park closer to the Southeast side of the city. It offers trails for walking and running, fields for soccer, a velodrome for cycling, a BMX track, a lake with paddle boats for rent, tennis courts, a roller hockey rink, basketball courts, and a special olympics gym. There are hills where locals use cardboard to slide down. It’s also popular with locals to fly kites. Sometimes there are horses available for horseback riding the trails.
