About: This is an extremely long beach just across the estuary from Tamarindo Beach. There are boats that can take you across from Tamarindo Beach if you are going for the day or a few hours. Alternatively, you can drive the loop from Tamarindo, which takes about half an hour. It is a nesting site for turtles, so it is protected as part of a national park. For this reason, there is not a lot of development, keeping it a calm and quiet beach, the counterpart to Tamarindo Beach. It is popular for surfing, and you can also swim here or take a long walk along the beach.
