About: This is an island that can be reached only by boat. Playas del Coco is one place to find a boat that will take you to the island. It is the largest of a series of islands known as the Islas Murcielago Archipelago. Over the recent years tourism has increased leading conservation and protection efforts to increase as well. Currently it is permitted to hike along the stunning trail atop Isla San Jose, as well as go snorkeling in 2 spots around the island. You must make a reservation online before visiting.
