About: This is one of two beaches with easy public access on this peninsula, along with Penca Beach. However there is a Waldorf Astoria Hotel now being built here, so there is constant construction on the cliff overlooking Penca Beach. Follow the paved road along the peninsula until the end where there is a makeshift parking lot due to the ongoing construction. There are two trails that go to Calzon de Pobre Beach or Penca Beach, both of which have a decent decline, but it is manageable. Calzon de Pobre Beach itself is gorgeous, with white sand and blue waters. If the water is calm it is great for snorkeling and a great place to watch the sunset. There is no food sold here so bring your own but don’t bring more than you are willing to carry down the trail. There are rocks and tide pools for checking out wildlife.
