About: This is a wonderful little art and culture museum with an interesting history. It used to be the location of the San Jose airport, before it moved to Alajuela. It has permanent as well as rotating exhibits. The best part is it’s free!

Time needed for activity: 2-3 hours

Wheelchair accessible: Yes

What to wear and bring: Comfortable clothes, walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, umbrella, camera, backpack, water, snacks, pack lunch

Tips: It is located right in La Sabana Park, so take advantage and enjoy a picnic in the park when you’re done with the museum.
