Dantita Beach

Posted on August 8, 2025February 18, 2025 by Ultimate Guide

About: This beach is right next to the more popular Danta Beach at Las Catalinas. To reach the beach you park at Las Catalinas and then either walk along the beach (you may need to wait for low tide), or you hike the trail over the hill. It is not too long, but a little steep and can get hot under the sun. It is worth it for the views alone, but also if you prefer a more secluded and less crowded beach.

Province: Guanacaste

Starting from: Flamingo

Time to reach from starting location: 24 minutes

Time needed for activity: as much as you want

Kid friendly: Yes, if you can hike with them

Wheelchair accessible: No

What to wear and bring: Comfortable clothes, walking or hiking shoes, sandals or water shoes, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, umbrella or shade, camera, backpack, water, snacks, pack lunch, cash

Tips: Make sure to take plenty of water and food as there is nothing sold at this beach, only at Danta Beach.
