About: This is a beautiful windmill farm in the mountains of Santa Ana that is a popular place with locals to picnic with family and friends on a clear morning or afternoon. The main thing to note is that the road to reach is extremely steep and long, though it is paved. You must have a 4×4 car in good condition, especially the brakes, and be a confident driver in these conditions. There is a risk of brakes overheating on the way back down because you will be holding them down, even in first gear. If you are worried about your brakes, makes stops to let them cool before continuing. Definitely avoid this experience when it is raining. You can always park lower down and hike up, but it is quite a long hike (about 4 kilometers from Salitral), though doable, and you will be hiking on the road with the cars. And of course, you won’t be able to carry much.
