Junquillal Wildlife Refuge

About: This wildlife refuge has a beautiful beach, as well as a camping area and 3 short walking trails. It is off the beaten track and never crowded. They also rent kayaks by the half hour. There are bathrooms, showers, and running water. No food is sold here so bring what you need.

Wheelchair accessible: No

What to wear and bring: Comfortable clothes, sandals or water shoes, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, umbrella or shade, camera, backpack, water, snacks, pack lunch

Tips: As with every beach, the water can be calm or have strong currents, so always pay attention to the flag warnings. Don’t leave valuables unattended.
