About: This is one of the nicest central parks in Costa Rica, with views of the Arenal Volcano, plenty of benches to sit down and people watch, lush trees and flowers, grassy areas for kids to run around and play, and restaurants surrounding if you need a bite to eat. It’s even big enough for a short stroll with paved paths. There’s also a church, a fountain, and a little monument. It is walking distance from anywhere in town. There are also souvenir shops around the park if you need to do some shopping.

Time to reach from starting location: 0 minutes
Time needed for activity: as much as you want

Tips: I recommend getting a sweet treat at Chocolate Fusion before taking a stroll or sitting on a bench at the park. It is generally safe even until the early evening as there are plenty of people around, though not too crowded. This is the perfect place to relax at any point during the day when you have some free time.
