Tips: Definitely take advantage of the guided tour option, as you will learn a lot of history about the land and of course, the “indian rock.” You need a 4×4 car to reach the trailhead, but they also offer you the option of leaving your car farther and giving you a ride the remainder of the drive, so take advantage of that option if you have any hesitation. This hike is near another waterfall hike called Viento Fresco Waterfall, so either compare both to see which one you prefer, or take advantage and do both! It is a great pit stop on the road from Monteverde to La Fortuna, or vice versa. Of course you can also just make a day trip from Monteverde.
