About: This viewpoint is right on the side of the main road going up to Irazu Volcano. It is right past the turn off for the Carlos Duran Sanatorium and the Prusia Sector of Irazu Volcano National Park. It has views of the Cartago Valley as well as the sanatorium. It is a great place to stop, take pictures, and stretch your legs when going up or down the mountain. There are street vendors who sell food and souvenirs. There is parking, though on weekends and holidays it can get crowded.
