Posted on February 12, 2024February 9, 2024 by Ultimate Guide

About: Monkey Park offers about 2.5 kilometers of hiking trails. You can choose either a self-guided or guided tour. In addition they offer a farm tour, a night tour, and a birdwatching tour. The farm tour is a unique hands-on experience where you help to harvest crops that you then use in a cooking class to create a meal. They also have a restaurant you can enjoy lunch at.

Province: Alajuela

Starting from: La Fortuna

Time to reach from starting location: 26 minutes

Time needed for activity: 2 hours

Kid friendly: Yes

Wheelchair accessible: Yes

What to wear and bring: Comfortable clothes, walking or hiking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, poncho or rain jacket, field guides, camera, binoculars, backpack, water, snacks, pack lunch

Tips: Since they offer a self-guided tour this is a good option if you need some to kill as it doesn’t require a reservation. However the farm tour with the cooking class is a special and more unique experience that is not offered many places.
