About: This is a great pit stop if you want to get out in nature and on the water. This lagoon is just a few minutes off the main road on the way to La Fortuna. At the lagoon you can rent kayaks or stand up paddleboards by the hour and explore the lake at your leisure. There are no hiking trails, so this is the only option for exploring the lake. You can also swim in the lake. You will likely hear howler monkeys, and you might see birds, iguanas, and fish. If you stand at the edge of the water where the kayaks launch, tiny fish will give you a free exfoliation treatment. There is a dock you can jump off of. There are bathrooms where you can also change.
