Note: There are two Sky Adventures locations: Arenal and Monteverde. They offer similar activities but there are some differences in what tours they offer. Make sure you book the right one. Also, the climates are different, making the experience at each one unique.
About: A relaxing and unique way to get up in the canopy of the cloud forest. You travel up a sky tram (cable car or gondola) through the canopy of the cloud forest. It is a short ride of about 8 minutes. A guide will join you and give some information on the way up. At the top there is a small cafe that sells warm drinks and snacks. There is also a short trail loop and an observation platform you can climb up a good amount of stairs to reach. Depending on the time of day and weather you may be completely surrounded by clouds or have somewhat of a view, although most of the time it is fairly cloudy. You may get lucky and see some wildlife, though be aware it is not too common.

Tips: There are several other tours offered at Sky Adventures Monteverde to make a package deal, including hanging bridges, tree climbing, and zipline. If you are visiting La Fortuna as well, and are considering whether to visit Sky Adventures Arenal or Sky Adventures Monteverde, when comparing specifically the sky tram experience at each location, I recommend the Monteverde Sky Tram because it is in the cloud forest, as opposed to the rainforest, making it a more unique and special experience.
